FAQ

Download questions

Which operating systems are supported?

Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit), and macOS 11 Big Sur or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. A 32-bit Windows build is on the way.

Do I need to install Chrome or Firefox separately?

No. AresLogin uses its own browser engines. The app downloads the engine a profile needs the first time that profile is opened, and keeps it for next time.

How much disk space does it need?

The app itself is about 40 MB. Each browser engine adds roughly 500 MB once unpacked, and you only get the engines your profiles actually use. Profile data grows with use.

macOS says the app is from an identified developer — is that expected?

Yes. The first time you open an app downloaded from the internet, macOS asks you to confirm. Because AresLogin is notarized, you only need to click Open.

Which languages does the app speak?

English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Russian, Spanish and Portuguese. You can switch in Settings or on the sign-in screen.

How do I update?

Download the newer installer from this page and install it over the old one. Your profiles and sign-in stay in place.
